Heres some of my recent art

a digital painting of four friends with plants instead of heads

2.14.21

"plant group"

Heads take so long to draw, and I’ve been wanted to work on figures for a while now. I saw someone on instagram do this, replacing the head with a plant and decided to do the same thing. I love it so much!

a digital portrait painting of a person with short blue grey hair and a pill in their mouth digital portrait of the same person, but drawn with linework and blocks of shading instead of paint strokes

2.6.21

"drug person"

This one was inspired by a cool photo taken by Haris Nukem. I wanted to try a different style with this, where I did line-work, then colored it in. I’m happy with it, but it really showed me how much I like my own style.

a digital painting of a person with from the knees up a digital full body painting of a girl in casual clothes.

"figures"

These two were created a month apart, but I was working on the same things. I wanted to get realistic proportioned bodies with clothes that looked right on them. I’m very happy with how they turned out.

a digital portrait painting of a person with purple hair and eyes.

1.23.21

"purple lady"

This one was really fun, I didn’t have a reference photo, I just sketched whatever was in my head. It’s a nice way to take a break from getting it so exact. I love how vibrant the purple hair turned out and how the tattoos turned out.

a digital portrait painting of a woman with braided hair and gold jewelry on her hair and ears

1.18.21

"gold hair"

I absolutely love how this one turned out. The gold brings out their skin so well and I love drawing brown eyes. I love the range of color that they offer because they’re so dark, but when the light hits them, they get a golden or amber color. I usually find hair tedious, it isn’t my favorite thing to do, but the braids were so much fun.

a digital portrait painting of a woman with short blue hair, icey blue eyes, and a dark blue heart on each cheek

1.15.21

"blue hearts"

This is the first drawing I tried to do without an initial sketch. It was just building a person from memory starting with the shape of the face and adding features. It’s a way of sketching that I haven’t tried before, and I really enjoyed it. It’s nice when I don’t know what I’m going to draw.

a digital portrait painting of a woman with short brown hair, created with smooth shading instead of blockier shading

1.13.21

"comfy green"

This was the first time I tried to get a smooth skin result. It was a lot of work, but I like how it turned out. It’s not my favorite style so I won’t do it all the time, but I’m really proud of how it turned out because blending is not my strong suit.

a digital painting of a horse head inspired by criollo horses.

1.7.21

"criollo horse"

I used to always draw horses but in the last couple years I’ve been drawing mostly faces to work on them. I wanted to see what a horse looked like in this style and it turned out pretty cool. I really like the shading on the face and how you can see how blue the shadows are.

a digital painting of a woman with dark curly hair with butterflies in it.

20.17.20

"butterfly"

The hair and the butterflies were my favorite part on this one. I had this reference photo saved for a while because I wasn’t sure how well I could pull if off, but I’m really proud of how it turned out. The whole vibe is cool.
